BEAUTIFUL YOU

I just hung a new window photo display on N. Main Street in Ashland at the Optometry Office.
This display is showing some of my new work related to empowering
women. I call it "Beautiful You". I've spent years working with women and my camera, in hopes of making them see what I see. I want them to know, without a doubt, that they are beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL YOU
I love photographing people, from tiny sleeping newborn babies to wrinkled but smiling faces. My favorite however, is photographing women. Over the years I’ve photographed women of all ages, from teens coming of age, to women going into their 70’s. Each stage in our lives is beautiful, but sometimes we forget. I’d like to help you fall in love with yourself.
In today’s world it seems that society puts very high standards on how our bodies, our hair, and our clothing should be. Unfortunately this makes most of us quite self-critical and self-conscious. Sometimes we become shy, self deprecating and even unhappy about who we are. I find this terribly sad. By using my photographic skills and artistic eye, I hope to make each women I photograph feel gorgeous. But I’ve learned, mostly by being a woman, that I cannot make any woman love herself. I can only show her the beauty that I see.
Photography is a powerful means of learning about our-selves. How we perceive ourselves is not always how others see us. I believe our spirit can come through in a photograph and help us reveal our true beauty. My job as a photographer is to capture whatever it is in you that makes you feel beautiful, and then let you see how others see you.
Together we can create artistic images that not only make you feel wonderful, but also document this time in your life. Anyone can look like that girl in the magazine. Just add photoshop. What no one else can look like is YOU. Sharing the authentic you is the biggest gift I can give.
Your private shoot is more than a photography session — it’s transformation and celebration of confidence, silliness, and everything that makes you feel gorgeous.
Thanks, Tina
